What Computer Retailers Don't Want You To know
Maybe you have been targeted by ads in the last few months to get a new PC. You are not alone. Retailers want you to buy the computer as soon as possible, that means before January 30th. The reason is that it will be the time when Windows Vista is going to begin shipping. Those computers bought before that date, may cause the user some installation problem. Some PCs just weren't designed for Vista.
How to avoid the difficulties? If you haven't bought a computer yet, wait and buy it after the 30th. Last but no least, ask them about all that has to do with the upgrading process. If your PC comes with XP and you are going to upgrade it, ask them if you need extra software for free or to download or to buy. The more you know the better.

iPhone vs iPhone

There is war going on between the iPhone and the iPhone. Yes, one name and two companies. Cisco is supposedly the owner of the name "iPhone" and patented it back in 1996. Apple is the company who created the cellphone named iPhone, and has since promoted the devices with the already mentioned name.
Apple reports to feel comfortable about the situation. They claim Cisco iPhone and Apple iPhone are two very different devices. However, trademarks are trademarks. If the name is already patented, such ownership shall be respected; nevertheless, I do not think users may get confused by the fact that the two devices have the same name. Why? One, Cisco iPhone, is a home phone and the Apple iPhone is a portable Phone or cell phone. It may be hard to confuse one another, but still there are some possibilities.
Is all I know by now. Still there is much to come about whether or not Apple will get out with the "iPhone" name.

Mac Computers Too Expensive or PCs Too Cheap?
Mac are said to be expensive, but I heard some people say, "wow PCs these days are really cheap." That is the point. It is not about Mac's expensiveness but about PC's cheapness. This is a result of competition in the Windows PC market. How many Mac makers do you know? You are right, there is only one and that is Apple Company. Now, if you had Dell and HP building Macs, things would change. Price will go down and Mac sales will go up.Nevertheless, there will be a problem if this happen, Macintosh will be presenting configuration problem. As Steve Jobs tried to explain in the MacWorld 2007, if you really like to build good software, you also need to build the hardware. He explained in others words, but this is the message I got.
MACs will continue to be "expensive" while Windows PCs are most likely to decrease their price, and maybe their quality. Cheap gadgets are said to be more expensive in the long run.
A Chip The Size of a Blood Cell
I first read about this at NewYorkTimes.com you can go there for more information.
In an article written by Kennet Chang.

PS3 On Stock
Great, and by the way cheap, things come to those who wait. PS3s are in stock in some GameStop
and EB Games stores, at least that is what their web page shows. The price? US$499 an 599 the 20 Gigs and 40 Gigs device, respectively. Now you may get one PS3 without having to pay the so expensive price some people paid at the end of last year on Ebay. Still some claim the price is still not the best one. But when you compared with what the cost you some 4+ weeks ago, the price is pretty good.
Now when all stores have PS3 will be the time when you may compare who is and who is going to be the best selling machine; PS3, Wii, or Xbox 360?

Microsoft Phone Plus Zune Integrated ?

What does Microsoft has in mind to create a competition against the upcoming iPhone? ? +
This is just a guess, but Microsoft may be preparing something for the upcoming year to try to beat the Apple fashionable device, the iPhone. It may be a iPhone like, but instead of an iPod it will have an Zune integrated. It may work for Microsoft and it may not. But still there is much to see, things aren't just created in one day. But time has shown that if Apple Company design a green widget, one month after Windows create the same widget, just with a green color. But by the time Microsoft has created that with a green color, Apple has created a multicolor widget

iPhone from Apple On: Should Verizon and T-mobile be scared?
iPhone from Apple is expected to come on June, is the competence ready? They had better to be ready because Apple has much to show and much more to come ahead. Verizon is good in smart phones that are designed more for Wall Street people. T-mobile? Sidekick 3, a teens' phone but no for business people. Both companies', Verizon and T-mobile, smart phones are designed just for one generation of users, the business users. But with this new mobile device from Apple, things change A LOT. They made a great move by integrating the ipod with the iPhone; nevertheless, they should know that as mp3 player the iPod will continue being the most used gadget. Steve Jobs integrated two things you don't see so often in Smart Phones, design and functionality. Still better yet is the fact that this new mobile phone is being supported by the two Internet giants, Google and Yahoo.
Google offers Google Earth, a 3D map service that can help you to locate any places in the world; from stores to restaurants and much more. This is what I call the great push from the "great giant."
Price has many users concerned, but it wont be a decision maker for almost anyone. After people spending US$1000+ for a video game on Ebay, it was demonstrated that for some of them price is not a big deal.
June may look far, but every day it is closer and with it comes the iPhone.

One Reason To Stay With XP rather Than Vista
Compatibility and Security. Those are the two main reasons. You will have to purchase new anti virus. It will cost you money. It is not time yet to upgrade to Windows Vista. Still there is a lot to do with Windows XP. I prefer XP for now.
On 30th, those of you who bought a computer with Windows Vista ready and free upgrade, are maybe going to get a big surprise; your computer will be running so desperately slow when upgraded to your new Windows Vista edition. Why is this? Simple, some many last year, 2006 computer weren't completely designed for Vista. It may not matter the graphic card, RAM, hard drive or brand you have, it may still face some problems.
It is like if you try watch High Definition channels in your $700 LCD no HD TV. Will this LCD show the quality of the HIGH DEF. channels? No, it will NOT. It does not matter how expensive your LCD was, it is and will always be "old" technology.
That happens if your try to upgrade to Windows Vista. Don't you believe it? Just ask some company owners why have they decided to wait some time, maybe long time, before upgrading their system to Vista.

Format War: PS3 Blue Ray Disc vs Xbox 360 HD-DVD
A lot of competence for Sony's Blue Ray Disc (BD) has come out. They all try to take Sony out of market. Microsoft with his HD-DVD. But who is winning the race?
Maybe Microsoft haven't figured out some stuffs about their HD DVD player. HD-DVD DO NOT come standard in the Xbox 360. Here is where things get tricky for Microsoft Xbox. Who is gonna pay $400 for the Xbox and then pay $200 for a HD DVD Player to adapt it to their game device? A few people would do that. Just wonder those people who paid $1,000 dollars for their Xbox 360 on ebay on 2005 Christmas . Would they be ready to take $200+ dollar to put their xbox to compete in the next-gen format war? You guess!
What gonna happen with the DVD in the future is more than clear; xbox 360 game maker will be limited to develop games. Why? S-P-A-C-E. Disc's space will be the key to success in the next format war. And again, HD-DVD player is NOT standard in the Xbox 360. And developers have already complained about the lack of space in the DVD discs.
On the contrary, PS3 comes with a standard next-generation Disc Player. Even, if HD-DVD success, some extra m$ney is going to come from user's pocket. Nevertheless, there will be some people ready to pay for their HD-DVD player Good luck...
