Microsoft: Xbox 360 Owners Tricked

If you have a Xbox 360, you may have experienced what bloggers call "The Red Ring Of Death." It is a light that get positioned in the place where it is supposed to be green. It is not a rumor but a fact that Microsoft went so fast in building their Xbox 360, trying to defeat Sony, that it built a defective product. It is said that it was built in such a bad way, that after it get damaged with the RROD (red ring of death), it can not be fixed. If you Xbox 360 has that problem, contact Micro$oft as soon as possible and ask them to repair your Xbox or to give you a refund.

Once again, Microsoft has shown that they are not good at building video game hardware. Bill Gates should let that to Nintendo and Sony.

Here is a site with more info about this: TeamXbox.

iPhone: Activation Headaches

If it was hard for you to get the iPhone, let me tell that it may be harder for you to activate your phone. I am pretty sure that it is the first which you have to go home in order to get it activated. It has to be connected to your PC. "What if I don't have a PC?" You may have to go some one else PC. The iPhone DO NOT have a video cam. They lack what many others phones have, even the Razr has a video cam.

The Internet is as fast as your old Dial Up conection. It may take you up to a life time to download a song. It does not have Flash itegrated. iPhone is a cool device, but it lacks more than it has. It may become the most popular phone in the market, but not because it is the best, but because Apple products are becoming very popular lately.

Wi-fi is more decent when you use the Internet. But the thing is that you wont always be able to be in a "hot-spot" for Wi-fi. I recommend people not to hurry up, it is better to wait what are the conflicts found in the iPhone. Once you are ready to deal with such problems, go for it. Good luck.

iPhone Nicest Pictures

This are the iPhone nicest pic yet to be seen.

iPhone Is Here: The Day Has Arrived

People wanted the iPhone. People have got the iPhone. The best phone device ever made. Internet, music, and smartphone. Motion sensitive and double touch screen. Something never seen in a phone before. This powerful device is around the corner, some hour away. It is said to be available June 29 at 6PM. You all know the price already.

How will be people trying to get the iPhone? Will it be like they did with the PS3 and xbox 360? I don't think so, but it will still great. I personally will wait until I can upgrade my actual phone and see if I am able to get it. If I do, I may resell it. Good luck to those getting the Apple device. And let's see what are the "buts" the iPhone users will give to it.

Did HP Create The Blue Screen Of Death?

HP: The BLUE SCREEN ERROR MAKERS

It look like HP did. All issues I have read about the blue screen of death are from HP users. It look like HP has forgotten that users got them to the place they are. And that users can take them out at any time. I say this because I have had the Blue Screen Error for a while. HP technician did not know how to solve the issue. Should we call them technicians? Or what? We, bloggers and readers, should make hear the voice to prevent users from going to become an HP's victim.

HP BAD CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Should you trust HP? Maybe you should not. HP company has come to become as bad as Dell when talking about customer service. Why do I say it? Because they have tricked me. I don't know if call that STEALING.

Here is the case:

I buy a PC, it was having problem since I bought it. I thought it may have been a virus, but as time went on, I found out it was not a virus. I talked to them, and I have been talking to them for the last 4 months maybe. They told me to send them the PC, I did, but they send it back to me with the same problem. I sent it twice. We tried they recovery discs as they told us, but it did not work.

I have spent over 40 hours talking by phone about the case, nothing have been solved. Just that they tricked me once more. While trying to get them the PC to fix it again, they told me to buy a new notebook from them, in that way they said "they were going to give a refund for the old one" but they did not. They tell me a Manager from HP is going to call me, that was 2+ weeks ago. I am still waiting.

They do not want to give me the refund, nor exchange the old notebook. And they made purchase a second one. I call that stealing. I asked them for information about the location and address of the HP company so that I can file a complaint to the Consumer Affair in New Jersey, but they said they could not provide me that information.

HP WANT TO TAKE MY MONEY.

Why Is The Wii So Popular?

The wii has become the most sold console in the planet. People like to play the Wii. But why is it so very popular and likeable to people? Nintendo once agains demostrate that it is not all about graphics but about how fun and entertained is the device. Something that make the Wii different, and special for some poeple is the fact that past generations games from Nintendo can be dowloaded.

It can bring back some memory to every Nintendo's fan. However, it is a short run yet. And there is not definitive winner, let's just see what happen one year from now. If the Wii continue leading all the way trought 2008, then we have a winner.

What Is The Deal With The iPhone?

By Dellis Herasme

Steve Jobs and his crew are taking maybe too long to dictate a date for the iPhone. What is the whole deal about? It is already time for them to tell when is the iPhone finally coming to the market. Some say June 12, 20, 22, or maybe 29. I am sure about this, if they ship the iPhone on 12, it may not be a good idea, people get paid the 15th and 30th. People will have the money, what means they will be more ready to get the phone.

Will I get it? I don't think so. I phone has the features many other phones have. Well, not including the motion sensitivity it has. But the rest of features are common on other phones., Internet, weather, map, Google satellite view, stocks, etc... iPhone will just have those as standard, making it easier for many users. The cingular 8125, is pretty customizable. And way cheaper. It does not mean that it is compared.

UPDATE: Apple on sunday finally anounced the iPhone launch date, June 29. You can see the new ads here.

Xbox 360 and PS3: Nothing To Compare

"THE MOST POWERFUL IS.........."

Why do people still compare these two consoles? Xbox 360 is a good one, but it is fact that PS3 is more powerful. It is not about being fan, it is all about facts. When comparing two gadgets, fanaticism should be put aside. "Yes, but the graphic are almost the same." Come on, Playstation 3 came out just about four to five months ago.

Game developers need time to get used to the kind of programing that any new gaming machine require. In one year or maybe less great game would have been created, or will begin to be created, then and only then is when Xbox 360 and PS3 will be rightly compared.

Sidekick iD Is A Sidekick 4?

"Sidekick 2.3?"

The answer is.... no. it is not a sidekick 4. It may probably be a SK 2.3. Why? It does not gave almost ring anything new. The SK 3 continues to be way better. I do not know what they T-mobile, are planning with that sidekick iD. T-mobile has maybe wasted some time bringing that phone to light. Lets just compare them to see why you should not buy the sidekick iD:

Latest News, no so "Latest" But May Break The Rumors

More Space? 200GB? or 160?

This is what a Quotation from Bloomberg.com as said by a Sony's spokesman, Satoshi Fukuoka:

``It's in line with our strategy as we had planed to choose models based on consumer needs,'' Fukuoka said. The larger model, which retails for $599 in the U.S. and is $100 more expensive than the smaller version, accounts for about 90 percent of sales, he said.

"The company is also considering introducing the model with a bigger hard disk, Fukuoka said, without providing details." Said Bloomberg.com

As I began googling, I could find some rumors that instead of 120 or 80GB hard drive, Sony is planning a new 200GB Hard Drive, only rumors so far.

PS3 With 80GB or More Coming? What May Be The Price?

Will People Buy It?

There are a lot of rumors out there about a new PS3 with a larger hard drive, but is it true? What will be the price? Sony may do two things: make the 60GB cheaper and discontinue the 20GB one, or add 60 plus GB to a new version of the PS3. Those are tow things they will most likely do. But this is just a supposition.

This may actually be the price: US$550 for the 60GB and US$650 for the "120GB" (this hard drive space is just a guessing). But what will cause people to upgrade? Sony must add something new to the PS3, not only space. Why? look here www.Ebay.com

As you may see, there are some very cheap laptop hard drive, some 100GB ones, at a good price ( the hard drive should be 2.5"). Some laptop's hard drive are said to fit in the PS3. Want more space? add a new hard drive from eBay. That is what some people will do or may possible do. Now, if Sony add a new feature to the PS3, people would possible purchase the "new upcoming" PS3.

The Xbox 360 Elite is already confirmed to come out soon. So, Sony get ready with something good. Talking about the 360 Elite, look at the video about it posted at cnetnews.com

Note:some content of this article is just some supposition. And when buying on eBay, do it cautiously to prevent scam.

120GB PS3? Or Just A PhotoShop Work?

120GB PS3?

This is just a PhotoShop work, It is edited, actually looks real. But I bet many bloggers will begin creating the rumor that there is a 120GB PS3 out there. Until Sony don't confirm any of those rumors there are just that, rumors. However it may not be a bad idea if Sony creates a 120GB one, or maybe one with larger capacity. It is just a matter of time before the next PS3 model is announced.

Ken Kutaragi, Playstation Creator, Leaves Sony

According to a variety of sources, including CNETNews.com, Ken Kutaragi has left Sony. It is not clear what are the reasons why he left, but rumors say it was because of the slow advance of the PS3 sales. Some analysts say that the "pricey console" is what have caused the slow sells. The elevated price is said to be cause by the integration of a the Blue Ray Disc. They also say that a Blue Ray was not necessary. However, Blue Ray Disc. Is outscoring HD DVD by far.

Where is Ken Kutaragi going? Will he begin his new own business? Or will he go to work with one of the others console makers? I doubt he would do any o the two, but he may continue to somehow help Sony. If he goes somewhere else, I don't think it will be Microsoft. Nintendo? No, he would probably stay with Sony, even though not in the same job position he was. For more inmormacion, feel free to visit CNETNews.com for a full article.

Is PS3 Defeating Xbox 360?

Why did Microsoft upgrade the Xbox 360? Is it being defeated?
Short answer. Yes, Microsoft is being defeated by Sony. Why do you think they, MS, is upgrading its console up to 120GB. When Micro$oft upgrades, it is because something big is hitting them. Just look back a Internet Explorer. IE was upgraded to IE7 when Microsoft noticed that Firefox was taking part of the market. Why did Microsoft upgraded to Vista? Because Apple's Mac was taking a slice of Micro$oft's pizza.

Whenever the competitors go on front, Microsoft will upgrade its product.
But upgrading does not always mean succeeding, ask Vista's user! Well there are not a lot of those out there. PS3 is ahead of the competition, which is Microsoft. As I have said before, Wii is out of the game, but in the game. Nintendo is selling pretty well, but they do not represent any danger to the two "giants." However, Nintendo is said to be leading the market so far.

Dual Slide: Ocean From Helio Without Water

Ocean from Helio.

This is a new Dual-Slide phone from Helio. Dual slider means that it can slide in two ways, as shown on the picture, it is a nice looking style for a phone. As someone once told me, "There are phone, and then phones after the iPhone." Meaning that iPhone will inspire new styles in the phone market. Was this inspired by Apple's phone? I don't think so. It looks to have a very unique style. Helio describes it as "the ultimate machine."
It seems like it is not the first dual slider phone, because the only thing Helio says is that it is "the first dual slider that has it all." If it is the second or third, it does not really matter. It Looks to be a nice phone and many people may be willing to put their hands on it. According to Helio's web site, the phone will be available for this spring, 2007. The price will be $295 with the activation of a new service plan.

This is one of the two ways the Ocean can be slided. But can be the two slide modes be used at the same time? That question is yet to be answered. I will give to this phone 3.9 out of 5. Maybe a 4.

This Ocean does not have water, but sure has some some features. For more info visit Helio.com

Is Sidekick 3 Worth What It Cost?

Sidekick 3 has become the most wanted phone lately, that phone has kept T-mobile on. But when talking about features, the SK3 is just another Razr Just a fancy phone, except that it is said to be good for texting. It does not have a video camera as most phone do today. But what happen is that they are just waiting to add that video camera to the possible sidekick 4.

I have looked at the Cingular 8125 and I won't change it for the Sidekick 3. Sidekick does not let you add third party features or applications. With the Cingular 8125 it can be done, it even let you download all the music you want, if you are in a Wi-Fi hot spot downloading may probably be free. The 8125 is just an example of many smart phone that can be cheaper than the sidekick 3, I got an 8125 smart phone from the Cingular's refurbished product store for only 79.99 with a two year contract.

Does Not It Look Like The iPhone?

Samsung SGH-i400

After looking this phone, it may seem to have an iPhone's look. Ate least that is what I could see when I first saw it. It is kind of similar just in the shape, because the rest is very different. It won't be a surprise if all phone companies begin taking Apple's phone as a prototype to create their own mobiles.

The phone doesn't look bad, it has a very nice design. and with that big display, it may be a touch-screen. The i400 is a smart phone and smart phone in these days, most of them, have touch-screen capabilities.

Because of the appearance of that phone, I may give it a 3.8 out of 5. I hope it comes at a good price so that it may, somehow, compete with the iPhone.

PS3 80 GB, Fact or Fiction?

A PS3 with a 80GB hard drive is what Sony needs to compete with the new Xbox 360 Elite which will have 120, well they don't even need it in order to compete. There is no question that the 20GB PS3 will be discontinued. That I will call it a "fact." When will it be launch? The good about the Playstation 3 are the features it has, what Xbox 360 lacks, PS3 has it right from the box. It will be even better if they add up to 100GB, that will be a lot of space.

Online gaming is what has kept Xbox 360 competing, what else? Now Sony has been improving their online experience. Once Sony unveils all its online power, Microsoft will have a hard time competing. Lately all MS has done is loose money with their video game machine. Wii and PS3 don't even compete each other, they just have different users, different public.

An iPhone Clone

The MiniOne and the IP2000.

The MiniOne.
Competition has already come out. Some good, some no that good. However, there are two that look to be iPhone's-best competitor. In the picture show above, you can see what some other companies are creating and planning to create. It will be a great idea if those phone makers give users a better price.

iPhone lacks something very important, a keyboard with real keys. It is clear that touch-screen are very modern, well no that modern, and that some time everything will work in that way. The price is extremely high to be with a 2 years contract. If the price were without contract, then things would be better. The more competition, the cheaper the product. And that is what gonna happen with the iPhone.

Now let's see the IP2000, also known as the iPhone clone.

If it wasn't for those keys below the screen, it would be hard no to get confused by this being the "real iPhone." Those keys may be useful, it get you away for a while of just using the touch-screen. Does it mean business people would rather this? Well, you never know. But the lack of key has been an issue that is being criticized about the Apple's device.

These are two devices that are yet to be created or said to be brought to the US. If they are brought, iPhone price will go down, NOT DOUBT about it.

New Xbox 360 Elite 120 Gigabytes. What is Next?

*

Microsoft shows every day that the 360's price is not US400 or 300. It is around $500 and above. Now Microsoft will, on April, launch a new Xbox 360 with 120 hard drive. That is a lot, but is not it too much? Maybe not. It is obvious that those HD movies take a lot of space.

The only video game machine considered to be really cheap, or better say less expensive, is the Nintendo Wii. The other two are some how expensive. For example lets take a look a the xbox 360.

If you bought a Xbox 360 core edition for $299, to have the full stuff you will need the HD Disc Drive $200 Plus the new 120 Gigabytes hard drive that may go for around $200 dollars.

That is: 299+200+200=$699. If you bought the xbox 360 premium edition, add some $100 dollars, US dollars. Just to be 799. PS3 brings 60 Gigabytes of hard drive for $600, or 599 to be exactly.

*Just one Xbox comes in the box. Credit to http://xbox360elite.com for the pictures.

What If Google................................................?

What if Google comes with these new ads options? I have been thinking about what Google may try in a near future. I think I have heard about the radio ads. And maybe the television ads. Video games I thinks have been mentioned too. Last but no least, cellphone ads.

What if they put ads on home phone or cellphones? Well, it sound strange but it is not. Most people know about those named "caller-tunes" that some cellphone companies use to change the actual "ring-ring" people listen when making a call. Well, it wont be bad idea for Google to have some deal with some phone company to add a type of ads that substitute the actual ring ring. That is just what I think.

The good side of it: phone call will be cheaper. Phone companies will want to have their user making more phone calls, in this way we will have more minutes for a much lower rate. The more call users make, the more money Google makes, the more money phone companies make too, and last and more important is the fact that we will have cheaper service.

The bad site: privacy issue. Some how Google will have some access to your incoming call history. They will need information about the people you call, like age and all those stuff, just to have better targeted ads. Anyway, privacy is less than an issue theses days. As days go on, people have less privacy. And there is not much that can be done.

Ads on TV. What about free TV channels? All those channel you have on the cable, but free. TV watchers should get free TV, because if it was not for them, there would not be any commercial at all on television, this mean no money. That is why Google's next target should be television. They can put those ads at any corner of the TV programs. Some sponsors pay for the ads just to be seen, even if you don't click on them. And in the long run it should be the way phones service may become, cheaper.

LG Phone Featured by Google: Does Not Surprise me

These are the featured said to be coming in new LG phones. But are they new at all? This is what I found a LG's web site.

"- Google Maps™ for mobile, an application that enables users to view maps and satellite imagery, find local businesses, and get driving directions

- Gmail™ for mobile, a Java-based application that brings more speed, convenience and functionality to the mobile Gmail experience
- Blogger™ Mobile, an application to upload/download images and text to blog from mobile devices (www.blogger.com), keeps avid bloggers upwardly mobile."
http://www.lge.com/about/press_release/detail/PRO|NEWS%5EPRE|MENU%5EPRER|MENU_20357_PRE|MENU.jhtml

I have Gmail and also Google maps on my phone, and my phone is not LG branded, now LG want to make us believe that these are new features or technology come on. I have not installed the feature that works with blogger, but I think I have heard about it before. What is next? A cellphone with text message capability?

Verizon Sues Vonage: Does Vonage Scare Them?

Vonage has been sued for supposedly using technology patented by Verizon. However, I think this is more than fighting for patented technology. It is all about the market's shares. Verizon know[s] that a Vonage, with its cheap price, is taking big part of the homeland phone users in the USA. Verizon do not want to see their client going to Vonage.

We all know how expensive Verizon is. Now they are trying to make excuses to take competitive companies out of their way. Verizon is on his way down if they don't make a quick move. Thanks to the iPhone from Apple, Verizon will miss some of its wireless' users. But they do not want to see Vonage taking part of the rest of the market.

Let's see what comes at the end of this lawsuit, I hope Vonage win the case. I don't wanna see Verizon trying to keep its homeland monopoly. I don't wanna see another Micro$oft.

Sprint Coming With A New Phone: Upstage

Sprint now has a new phone to be released soon. It is the new Upstage from Samsung. It has a pretty cool design. It now uses the back of your phone as a screen. This new design is defined as "dual-side form-factor," this is how Sprint describe it.

The Upstage, as it is called, can be upgraded to a 2 GB MicroSD Memory Card. This feature will let you store about 2,000 songs. However, the standard memory has only 64MB. It also brings a USB cable to connect it to your computer. So that you can store your own music.

Something I also liked is the fact that the phone will able to get Bluetooth that allows you to listen to your music without being wired. That is pretty cool too. Keep visiting Geeks & Gadgets or go to Sprint.com to keep up to date with the latest news.

Hackin' Apple TV?

There is a page out there dedicated to hacking Apple's TV. It looks like this new Apple's Gadget has kind of OS inside. Appletvhacks.net can teach you how to hack the Apple new product. It also said to be put to work with the MacBook.

Did Apple design its TV to be hacked? That does not sound to make any kind of sense at all, somehow, but in the other hand it can be a good strategy. We should know that all products that are "hackable" or customizable, become very popular. And popularity is what they need with that new Apple TV.

Reasons To Switch From Internet Explorer To Firefox

Reasons To Switch From Internet Explorer To FireFox
FireFox every day got more surprised. It is a pretty good Internet browser, I would say the best. It is secure, useful and customizable. It is all geeks want, but you don't have to be a geek to use FireFox. It is pretty easy to use. I barely use Internet Explorer. Maybe I got tire of all the blue colors and insecurity it offers.

Things FireFox offers that Internet Explorer lacks.

Adds on: these allow you to customize your FireFox window to look the way you want. You can add some music player, themes-these are kind of backgrounds, feed reader, etc. They have everything you need there. Just visit the Adds-On page

Security: FireFox is way more secure than Internet explorer, even thought IE7 has made some improvement, it continues to be no so secure.

You can download FireFox from the top of this site if necessary.
