WINDOWS BUGGIES OR WINDOWS VISTA

According to many sources in today's news, Windows Vista has been found to have some security issues. So, did Microsoft lied when they said it was the most "secure" Windows they have ever created? Microsoft has lied in some way.

They should have already known about that before. Because as one of Microsoft's spoken person said, they have not have any major or great attack in any user. Are they waiting for things to get worse before they decide to react?

Microsoft have been known for being reactive and no proactive. They just trow the Windows OS out there and then they try to figure out how to fix their error. They just want to be the first to launch. You can remember what happened with the Xbox 360 and its over heating problems, and it was because of their precipitation to launch the game machine.

At least we hope they do something about it, or I doubt anyone will upgrade to Windows Buggies, I meant Windows Vista.

GAMESTOP WITH PS3s

GameStop is now taking PS3 pre-orders, but only in bundle beginning at $994.28
Expensive, isn't it? but still cheaper that some PS3s on EBay. These bundles are said to be shipped by January 5, 2007. For example, if you order the "Most Wanted bundle," it comes with 6 games and a guide for one of the games. It also has a controller, the Sony PlayStation 3 20GB, 2 year product replacement and a 12 months game informer subscription.

However I do not agree with this kind sell. Why? Well, GameStop want us to spend a lot of money to get that PlayStation 3. Some people want only the PS3 with a controller and a game. They may not want all those games and guide and magazine subscription. However, it may be better than buying it on EBay where the PS3 by itself can cost $1,000 dollars or more with no games. When comparing with the rest of the market, GameStop PS3 bundle doe snot look that bad.

The only thing is that the shipping is for January 5, at least that is what they say, and some people may not want to wait that "long." But remember "Good things come to those who wait"

ZUNE VS IPOD.

As response to the Apple's iPod, Microsoft came with the ZUNE. But was it the best response? it may not be the best response. Here is why:

ZUNE does NOT run on Apples OS. Here we see a lack of compatibility. The Mac market is growing, so it could have been a good a idea for Zune running on Apple OS as well as it does on Windows.
Part of the popularity of iPOD is due to its compatibility with both major OS. However, Apple should act fast because Zune may later represent a problem for iPod. Why? Well, you know Microsoft has the power to become popular is just a bit, they have the money, and the influence of their, no the best, but so popular Windows.

The day Microsoft put Windows to the Zune, the market will belong to Zune. Unless, Apple puts its Mac OS into the iPOD. We, the buyer, will be the winner. Competence has as result improvement. Improvement has a result better products. For example, FIREFOX vs Internet Explorer. The only way explorer will begin improving its quality is by having a strong competitor like FIREFOX-the most secure Internet service.

WHY MAIL IN REBATE?

You may have asked yourself why do stores want to give you money back in mail in rebate? Why dont they give you the money right there?
You are not alone. Many people have the same questions as you do. I am going to explain you what happens with those mail in rebate.

OK, you go to a online, or other kind of stores and they say, for example, "this PC is $699, after $200 mail in rebate." What comes to your mind is that the PC cost only "$699." After you get home with your new PC, you may forget about the mail in rebate, or you maybe just don't want to fill out all those paper. That is what stores want. They want you no to fill out the Mail in Rebate application.

Even in you fill it out, they try to make it hard for you. That is why they almost always use third parties too be in charge of receiving and informing you about the Mail in Rebates.

What should you do? When you send the application of you Mail in Rebate, always make a copy of that document and keep it in your files. So, when they answer to you saying that you had some errors in your application when you really didn't, you just send an application again with the copy you made before.

Don't give up. As many time as they ask you to fill it again, you just do it. And again, and again, and again..... until they say "OK, lets send the money to the customer" and the customer is nobody else but you. Money is money.

Remember! Always make copy when you fill your Mail in Rebate application. That is the one way you can prove that you did things in the correct way.

WHERE ARE THE PS3s?

People are still waiting to get their hands in the new SONY game device. But, where are they? Where are the PS3s? Ebay has many of them, but if you want to get one a the right price, you should be going once in a while to the retailers. They are the one supposed to sell you the PS3 at the right price. On Ebay you can find a video game machine, no cheaper than in some retailers, but you can find it. The next-generation of video game is now the "present-generation of video games" instead. They are here. Some hard to be found, but already here.

PS3. xbox 360 and Wii. THE MOST EXPENSIVE IS....

There are 3 consoles out there, one has to be the best and also the most expensive.

There is not question that the Nintendo Wii is the cheapest. I also know you may say PS3 is the most expensive next gen console. What about Xbox 360 + HD DVD Player? Oh yea, you need it if you want the XBOX 360 to compete with the PS3. Those Microsoft folks are smart. They sold you the Xbox 360 with not HD DVD because their idea was to come with it later. Here they have it for "just" $200+ dollars.

PS3 with Blue Ray Disc player included US$599 dollars
Xbox 360+HD DVD player= US$ 600 or more

Imagine the PS3 without the Blue-Ray Disc Drive! It would be way cheaper, or at least similar to the 360s no-HD DVD edition's price. Now if you want to be in the real NEXT-GEN console competition, you need a HD DVD or Blue Ray Dics player. At the end, xbox 360 has the same price or higher than the PS3 60 Gigs edition.

The Nintendo is another thing. It is said to be fun and innovative, it look like it really is, and less but no last CHEAP. Getting a Wii may be a good iidea for any of you who want to have a cheap and fun video game machine, That is the Wii.

NASA BUILDING A BASE ON THE MOON?

Do we really need to go that far? Technology has its issues. It is said technology makes the world "a better place to live." But what do they mean when they say WORLD? Do they mean earth, moon, and mars? Well, it may be for them. But it is better to fix the problems here instead of going to the space looking for adventure. Some people may like the idea of going to another planets and/or the moon. It may sound interesting for them. Interesting is the only thing.

There are lots of problems in this society. So, it is no time to be thinking about mars. You may have heard about the base going to be built by the year of 2024. That is a great advancement in technology, But do we really need that kind of advancement? Do you imagine how much is spent in those research and new projects? OK, just wonder. Still, we should give merits for what they do. Going to the space is their job. A job the enjoy and live for. We should thanks them for doing the kind of job like collocating satellites in the space. Thanks to this kind of technology you can have a cell phone, satellite TV, Internet, etc... Let's see, what happens after 2024? People beginning to populate the moon?

Those questions still have to wait before being answered. Populating is one thing, getting adapted another different issue.

Buying Extra Warranty.

When you buy a PC or any other article, retailers offer you a extra warranty. It can cost you from 100-300 dollars or more when it comes about PCs. But is it worth the price? you may say yes, I may say that it is not worth.

Just imagine, I go to the PC store to buy my brand new PC. I spent 1 year saving that money to get that computer I always wanted. Suppose it is a 1,000 dollar PC. You select your computer, and then a person working there tells you "you should buy a 2 or 3 years warranty. It is going to cost you 250 to 350 dollars." The first thing they tell you is that if for some reason your computer get damaged, they say that they gonna fix it for you or replace the broken part of the computer. That sounds good? But then I ask myself, What if.............? What if my PC does not have any problem for those 2 to 3 years, will they give me my money back? For sure they will not. OK, but will they give me at least a 50% back? No, they won't. At least a 10 percent? Final answer is not. You do not get any money back and that is warrantied.

That is the part I don't like from buying a extra warranty for my PC or any other stuffs I buy. They do not give me any money back. However, if you do not wanna take risks, buy your warranty. It may work for you. Some times is worth it. Some times.

The Cell Phone Market

Ok, it is known that every one like the latest device mobile technology has to offer. is it all about how nice does the phone look or about the technology it posses? How does this marketing work?

An example is the Razor phone from Motorola. A lot of people got that phone. Even thought it is cheaper now, it was very expensive then; still a lot of people decided to own it. Motorola Razor technology is nothing to be surprised at all. But its design is what the Razor is all about. If I gonna take a phone, I may not take the Moto Razor. What does it have that a phone did not have before? or is it better that the competing phone in the market? Probably the Moto Razor is not the best one. Still, it is the most wanted.

How does the market worked and still works with that phone and with a lot of other phones? It is all about colors. Yes, it is. First the Razor came in black. They knew they have a good design, that is way they decided to come with only one color at first. After almost every one put its hand on the Motorola Razor, they decided to vary the color and in that way make people get the new "cool" colors. Gray, pink, gold, tattoo ink, and some others design and colors. So, people upgrade their phone, but it cost the money to get the new devices. Some phone companies require you to get a two extra year contract in order to get the upgraded package. So it means you have to stick with your phone provider for two more years.

For me it it is not about good looking cell phones but about high technology. I prefer the smart phone rather than the nice looking one. They can be expensive, but there are also some smart phones adaptable to your pocket.

However, enjoy the one you have. Even if it is not a smart phone.

PS3 Still Hard To Find.

PS3 is still a hard-to-find holiday gift. Almost every one want to get their hands on it. But people should take it easy. The same thing happened a year ago with the XBOX 360. Some individuals were paying 900 and more for a Microsoft console. This time the PS3 is having the same impact and people are paying 1,000 dollars and more. After a few months, will this people regret having paid all that money? They may regret it because, in maybe 6 months, with the same 1,000 dollars anyone may get a 60 gigs PlayStation 3 with some games, an extra controller, and some other features.

Just take it easy. There is going to be the time when the PS3s will be all around at the right price.

Upgrade To Vista?

What is the right PC for Vista? Well, I let readers take their own conclusion. What do you need for vista premium edition? Well, definitely you have to have a computer with more than one Gig of Ram, it should be 2 GIGS or more. That is if you want to enjoy all the features. But if you are a basic user, maybe a 1 Gig Ram will be good for you. With one Gig you will be able to run the Vista basic Home Edition. Think it twice before upgrading too fast. No having the right requirement is going to be a problem.

Another thing is: be AWARE when buying a PC. They may say, retailers, that the PC your are buying is "vista capable," but it does NOT mean that they will fully work the Windows Vista. It is sad if you buy your PC and then you find out that you are limited to certain features in Vista. be smart! DO NOT let retailers take advantage of you. If YOU read those ads about PCs in the news paper, magazine or anywhere you do, read the small letters at the bottom of the ads of wherever they put them. In there you may find what the retailers mean by "vista capable."

Firefox 2.0 or Internet Explorer 7

Today Microsoft is facing a good fighter, maybe the greatest fighter in web browser's history. At this time, users are very concerned about security, so that their computer don't get invaded by dangerous virus and spyware. In this match there must be a winner. Who is it? Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox 2.0?

Well, Internet Explorer has improved its security and have also included some "innovation" with the use of tabs. But it is said that tabs was part of the previous version of Firefox. It means that it is not really something new at all. Still, the look is acceptable even thought it has come Safari similarity as you can see in the video shown in the article below.

Before going direct to Firefox, let's see why this battle is good. Security will be improved each day in those two web browsers. Clients are looking the best way to protect their computers, that is why it will be very interesting security will become.

Firefox is gaining space in the web browser market. Firefox is second, as Microsoft Internet Explorer is in first place. Firefox is growing at a very impressive velocity. It is just matter of time before Firefox take over Internet Explorer. The new Firefox 2.0 is at the top of quality and will go higher if it continue offering good service as it has so far.

Windows Vista vs Mac OS X Leopard?

It should not even be a discussion. Why? because Windows Vista is more Mac OS X Tiger like. So, it will be better comparing Leopard with "Windows Vista II." What happen to Microsoft? are their ideas gone? Have they decided to copy Mac rather than creating new stuffs?

You will answer the last question watching this video....
Article continue below

So what do you said? did they copy or did they not?

Google and Apple? What If They Get Together? What Will Happen Then To Microsoft?

Have you wondered about Google and Apple joining forces? I have just being wondering about this subject. It can be dangerous for Microsoft. I explain why and how can this happen.

If Google services become exclusive for Apple iPhone.
iPhone is coming. You tube belongs to Google. You tube + iPhone= cero Zune.
Again, iPhone is coming. Google search the most powerful search engine. Google Search + iPhone= -zero Zune.
iPhone+Google Map = Google Map used by every one. It would not be bad idea having an iPhone with the power of Google map. When you go in your card, bus, or even if you go to another country you may use the service.

But let's forget about the Zune. It does not represent any danger for iPod or the upcoming iPhone. But, Microsoft may come with the idea of creating a MSN Phone with 3D msn messenger (the most popular IM) and hotmail The most used E-mail service) Now, things may get tricky. With iPhone vs MSN Phone. However, iPhone, like iPod, may be dominating the market.

Apple OS is the best out there. People know it; still they use Windows OS. But it is said "once you turn Mac, you never go back." It is pretty true. I always think the best way for Mac to gain access the public, at least in the US, is by getting their Macs in the US's colleges and universities. That is the place where the young people are and once they get accustomed to Macs, they will think it twice before going back.

This is just wondering, don't take it too serious. but remember "Every good idea comes with a simple 'wonder.' But this may never happen.
